K: In thinking about the definition of beauty, we've come up with two possible answers: society's definition and our own. Brandon and I like to look at beauty as what's around us, how we feel on the inside, and of course, healthy bodies, and with that also comes healthy skin. I don't know about you, but when my skin feels and looks healthy, I am more confident and feel more beautiful.
L'Occitane sent over a few products during the summer for both Brandon and I. Once again, we love a brand that works for the two of us and this one definitely does. They're known for beauty skincare and most of their products contain natural ingredients like lavender, shea butter, and even almonds. We got to test out the
shower oil, the
comfort face cream, and the
famous hand cream. The result? Softer skin that felt more hydrated, glowed from the inside out, and smelled amazing.
There's something about the brand overall that really does make you feel more beautiful. Maybe it's the fact that it's luxury skincare products for a fraction of the price, or maybe it's just the fact that they put natural and real ingredients into each product and package them beautifully. Either way, we've both been pleased with the results from all of the products. Nothing smells too girly, but manages to still deliver the benefits that a lot of "girls only" products give (softer and more hydrated skin). Brandon has gotten to where he uses the shower oil every day now. I think he's somewhat surprised that he likes it!
B: I first noticed
L'Occitane during a family vacation at a Caribbean Four Seasons long ago. During that encounter, I realized that my favorite scent is actually verbena. Verbena is an awe inspiring botanical utilized in a significant number of L'Occitane's products, and it has kept me coming back to their store fronts for over a decade now.
During my undergraduate days, I had acne that seemed to pop up for no reason whatsoever. I tried the spectrum of soaps and cleansers until I tried L'Occitane's
Almond Milk Concentrate, and my favorite
CADE Moisturizer, which helped reduce my acne significantly. I actually have a prime example of proof in these lotion varieties. Geology graduates around the world are required to attend a summer "Field Camp" which involves numerous weeks of camping, hiking, mapping outcrops, and doing other geological things. I was a bit nervous about being away from electricity and running water for weeks at a time in terms of my face/acne. The solution: L'Occitanes
CADE Moisturizer. It contains profound technology from the days of Shepherds in Biblical times, utilizing extracts from prickly juniper berries and bark, which act as a natural disinfectant and skin conditioner. The result of six weeks camping: absolutely no acne to speak of.
This little experiment really made me rethink face washes, soaps, and other beauty products. Sometimes the best thing for your body might just be the simplest means and most natural products which seems to be exactly what L'Occitane employs. Although guys differ from girls in that we might not admit we feel beautiful from utilizing a beauty product, a lot can be said about clean, clear, and healthy skin, and L'Occitane has manly products that can certainly help with that objective.
*This is not a sponsored post but thank you to L'Occitane for gifting the products*
