K: Brandon and I have an unhealthy obsession with cheese. There's nothing better than a wine and cheese night and this past weekend, that's exactly what we planned (along with a Game of Thrones marathon). For evenings like this when you know you aren't leaving your house, or maybe even your couch, there's a necessity for chic and comfortable loungewear and that's where Sudara comes into play.
Sudara is a brand that stands to empower women because every pair of pants is made by a woman in India. Each woman at Sudara escaped human trafficking or was at risk for human trafficking. This heavy subject is something that we all need to recognize as a major problem in our world today and not many companies are publicizing their role in attempting to stop it like Sudara. Not only are they providing jobs, but they're providing hope and a new life for many of the women involved in the company. I love that they create something so worthwhile and when Brandon and I had the chance to work with them, we jumped at the opportunity to support and showcase such an amazing organization.
B: I am a firm believer that every gentleman needs a pair of comfortable pajama pants to not only sleep in, but also to lounge around in. I was drawn to the vertical stripes of the Tarun Sudara model (following the old adage that vertical stripes make you look tall and lean), but more importantly, the surprisingly boastful pop of navy paisley in the cuffs is what sold me. After relaxing in the pants all evening, I came to the conclusion that they really are the perfect pair of lounge pants. For every guy out there (or every guy in your life), these would make a great birthday gift or something to put under the tree at Christmas.
On a separate note, Tara and I are both avid snackers. We routinely jump at the opportunity for snacks which we jokingly refer to as "scraps". When Katherine put together this spread, I don't know who was more excited: Tara, who stood beside us the entire photoshoot; or me, diligently snacking through the entire evening.
K: We both fell in love with the beautiful patterns that each pair of pants has. They seem to be telling a story through rich colors and every pair is named after an Indian woman in the company. The lightweight cotton fabric is perfect for lounging at home and I love that they're making both guy and girl products. You can read more about Sudara and their story here and we encourage you to browse all of the different prints and styles of pants here.
