K: With just two more weeks of school, I'm getting ready to embrace my summer uniform. For me, I tend to live in dresses during the summer; however, when I found these denim shorts and
the softest t shirt ever, I felt casual and relaxed in an outfit that was perfect for running errands. I know that I'll be living in bright colors, denim shorts, and fun accessories like this
pom pom scarf for cooler evenings or indoors with blasting AC. I'm excited to share 20% off anything from the adorable boutique
Pearls and Rocks. They have so many fun accessories like
these tassel earrings or
this turquoise bracelet. I had my heart set on the colorful pom poms but would love to know your favorite pick from the site. Just use the code
SWAINKYFAMILY at checkout to receive 20% off your order + free shipping on any order over $30.

B: A typical summer go-to wardrobe in my mind includes color and light weight materials. Whether you are under the beating sun, or experiencing one of those unexpected overcast, drizzling, cool summer mornings, chinos have all of your needs covered. Chino khaki material keeps you cooler than denim can dream of, is reliably sturdy, and can be procured in nearly every color under the rainbow. Being involved in the spectrum of the farming and ranching world in a past life, I know that chinos hug the waist of numerous seasoned South Texas ranch hands as they take their day by the horns and accomplish some of the manliest jobs in the world. On a more suburbanite note,
a good polo can never let you down. The cotton pique weave that accompanies most polos is truly a masterpiece of the modern world. Some of my favorite polo's include Ralph Lauren, Brooks Brothers, and of course
the East Coast pride of Vineyard Vines.

B: Once again, I became silly during this photoshoot and started having fun with my surroundings. I found the perfect retaining wall for a subtle jumping shot that captured the essence of a perfect candid Brandon activity. Moreover, I simply could not resist the mortared rock wall that was calling me to climb up just a few feet. I am not sure who had more fun on this day, Katherine, Tara, or myself; we were all smiles and trying to make a quick sport of these pictures because the sprinkling summer weather was about to fall upon us.
K: We managed to snap these photos in between drizzles. San Antonio is in the middle of its "wet season" and Brandon and I are struggling! We love to be outside, especially during the weekends. Lately, it seems like every time we look at our weather app, rain is always in the forecast. That being said, we've got an indoor post coming at you on Wednesday for anyone who loves a good book. See you then and happy Monday!
